A Magical Journey Through Ancient Wisdom and Universal Laws
I was invited to give a talk about my photographic experiments at Kronos Art, the biggest contemporary art festival in Barcelona. I took advantage of this opportunity to talk about the deepest meaning of my portraits.
I use Photoshop to try to capture the essence of the portrayed artists, rather than just their physical appearance. This project is an experiment using photo-composition to portray their deeper ideas, philosophies, life principles, personal beliefs and enigmatic messages; to represent their higher selves, integrating their physical features with their metaphysical world.
In the talk I explain the stories behind twelve symbiosis. It’s in Spanish but you can turn on YouTube auto-translated captions. I checked the translation and it’s actually not too bad! : )

Mutant artists outbreak at the biggest photo festival in Spain!
I’m truly happy to announce that Symbiosis has been selected for the PHotoESPAÑA 2018 festival that will take place in Madrid from the 6th June to the 26th August. This year is the 20th anniversary of the festival, which is the largest photographic event in Spain. It will include 90 exhibitions with works from 530 international photographers, including my mutant artists portraits, that will be part of the OFF Festival section.
Besides the official exhibitions, many independent galleries organize shows around town that are included in the event program. The Symbiosis project has been selected as one of these OFF Festival exhibitions, it will take place at La Fiambrera Art Gallery. The opening will be on the 8th of June at 20h, with free drinks for the assistants. You are all invited, come say hi! : )
